Prof. Dr. Alper Çelik 10 seneı aşkın bir süredir Diyabet Cerrahisi ve Metabolik Cerrahi alanlarında bakım vermektedir. Bu seneler süresince 8000’den bir araba şeker hastalığı hastasını sükseyla otama ederek sahaındaki süksesını soyıtlamıştır.
